Congratulations to Rotacan of North Bay, Ontario on their recent completion of their new facility. This project involved a 72' span 10 ton crane, and a 53' span 10 ton crane and a new Street 10 ton hoist.
The scope of the work included the installation of a complete 53' 10 ton crane on their existing facility, removing two 5 ton hoists and reinstalling them on the 72' bridge, and the installation of a new 10 ton hoist on the 53' bridge
The installation was quite a challenge due to space restrictions (made it with 3/16" per side of the bridge, way to go Paul and Rick) and required some ingenuity to complete. The installation went smoothly and with great cooperation from the builder and sub-trades. Efforts were made to co-ordinate our movements to provide the least amount of disruption possible with other trades.
Once again we congratulate Joe Guido and his staff at Rotacan on their help and involvement with in this project and wish them continued success in the future.

Congratulations to Carriere Industrial Supply on the recent installation of a Street ZX44 10 ton hoist. This unit replaced an existing 10 ton unit that was becoming increasingly less reliable and maintenance intensive.
One of the challenges in this project was to provide a solution that would match the intensive duty cycle of the plant. " Our cranes never stop" says Joey Duchesne of CIS. " We needed to address our production needs versus crane downtime. The new hoist is an impressive looking unit and is very robust and seems to be able to handle the demands of the shop. Also knowing that critical spare parts are in stock here in Sudbury definitely helps assure the crane is in service"

Congratulations to Marco Julien of Steelworks in Timmins, on the recent installation of a single girder under running 5 ton crane, complete with a Street ZX hoist.
The crane will be servicing a new cutting bed in the recent shop expansion. The growing market for Steelworks in Northern Ontario required the expansion to meet demand.
This is the third Street unit installed for Steelworks. Marco had originally seen the equipment at an O'Brien display in a past trade show and was impressed with the ruggedness and durability of the product.
